Hleb from Belarus was one of our winner kids in the ideas4ears 2019 contest. The talented inventor impressed the ideas4ears jury with two ideas designed to help people with hearing loss.
One of his inventions was an antistatic helmet. Everybody can put on this helmet and control the volume of background noise: loud sounds can be turned down with the helmet, soft voices can be made louder. This invention won the 2019 winner a trip to MED-EL’s headquarters in Innsbruck, Austria.
What was Hleb up to after his trip to Innsbruck?
Beside his gift for inventing, Hleb is also a talented singer. With his cochlear implant he not only rocks at home, but also rocks the big stage! In December 2021 he played the main character in a Christmas musical, together with another CI user, Sophia. The two of them performed in front of an audience of 600 people. The musical is about a Christmas miracle in which dreams can come true, no matter what.
