Fun at Audioversum

Fun at Audioversum

On day two of the winners trip, guests were treated to a guided tour of Audioversum, MED-ELs science center where they could learn more about the cochlear implant.

Audioversum, the interactive museum in Innsbruck for all ages

“The interactive museum in Innsbruck is all about the fascinating worlds of listening and wondering. As a ScienceCenter it fascinates visitors from across Austria and beyond with its combination of medicine, technology, education and art. Multimedia installations developed in cooperation with the renowned Ars Electronica Center Linz invite guests to have a go themselves and learn more about our senses.” Sourced from: http://www.audioversum.at/

The state of the art science center allowed guests to interact with the exhibits and learn more about hearing. The day at Audioversum provided entertainment for both adults and children alike, have a look at all the fun they had!

MED-EL World

The winners were also treated to a tour of MED-EL World, here they could learn about the history and product timeline of the cochlear implant.

“MED−EL has a strong tradition of advancing the technological and scientific foundation in the field of hearing implants. The company’s strong and consistent focus on research and development can be seen and experienced in our interactive exhibition, which will be of great interest not only for experts from the medical device industry, but also lay persons. As with all our exhibits you are welcomed to examine and ‘have a go’. If our hologram doesn’t convince you, the 3D camera, which gives visitors the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to insert a cochlear implant electrode into a cochlea dummy, surely will. MED-EL World’s seven exhibits add to the great variety of interactive installations to be seen at AUDIOVERSUM.” Sourced from: https://www.audioversum.at/exhibitions/med-el-world/?lang=en
